BOYCOTT SUBWAY

                                      The Boycott was first launched on Jan 10 th . It is a pro active boycott of all subway stores throughout Great Britain , in reaction to subway opening stores throughout the country that serve exclusively Halal products . We feel that to serve halal products at the exclusion of all others is discriminating against non muslim customers . The Boycott also opposes subways plans to open a further 200 halal only stores throughout Great Britain in 2009

                                         There are a wide range of people are supporting  the boycott subway group for varying  reasons , here are just a few of the reasons people feel the need for a non halal alternative 

                                                Animal Welfare supporters

 There are vast amounts of evidence that support the fact animals ritually slaughtered go through unnecessary suffering ,as opposed to those animals that are slaughtered by tradition pre stun methods . Both the Fawc and the RSPCA , call for an end to ritual slaughter in the UK

                                                Religious Groups

Many members of different religious groups are proscribed from eating Halal Products . These include members of Britain's largest Religious groups Christian , Sikh , Hindu , Jewish as well as many other smaller Religions

                                                Consumer Groups

This covers quite a large section of boycott support  at the moment , people who feel that it is wrong for an a group such as subway who claim to cater for all the needs of their customer base . Then to go and discriminate against the vast majority on the grounds of  religion

                                               Opponents to Islamic /Sharia law

There is a growing concern throughout the country at the way  law Islamic/Sharia law seems to be  encroaching on the way other members of society are expected to live.

                                         The Boycott subway group  asks that Subway stop discriminating against non Muslim customers. By providing a non Halal alternative for customers who require it in  its stores . The group Boycott Subway would like to make it Clear that it  as problem with an Halal option for their Muslim customers ,but this should not be at the expense of other customers  . All we are asking is that subway provide all their customers with the RIGHT TO CHOOSE wether they eat ritually slaughtered meat or not
