BOYCOTT SUBWAY

 Dear Sir
I am writing to inform you of my intention to boycott all Subway restaurants from now on. The reason for this is several stores have being opened in Great Britain that have decided to serve exclusively halal products. I find the practice of ritual slaughter objectionable. Secondly, I feel that, to serve halal products at the exclusion of all others discriminates against non-Muslim customers. I have no objection to halal food being made available to Muslims; but in the same way, we all should have the freedom to choose whether or not we eat halal products. Apart from this, I have no other issue with Subway—in fact, I think you provide a quality product, and look forward to your reply, and a time when I can partake of Subway sandwiches again

We appreciate your input and understand your concern. All Subway restaurants are individually owned and operated by independent franchisees who pride themselves on being active and responsible members of the communities in which they live and work. While the vast majority of our locations serve products sourced from traditional Subway suppliers, only a small percentage of locations in the UK serve food that are prepared by following Muslim traditions. The products, certified by the Islamic Foundation of Ireland, all come from highly respectable companies licensed to do business in the UK. The franchisees that own restaurants serving halal products have decided to do so, in areas with a heavy Muslim population, as a way to best serve their local customer base. With that said, we invite you to enjoy our standard fare at any one of the other 1,300 Subway restaurants throughout the UK and Ireland.

as you can see it does address the subject but then goes on to say they are catering only in area,s with a large muslim community , i live in levenshulme and the community is split about 50/50 . So how come the non muslum community is ignored , we would like members help and advice on compiling a reply suggestions by email or on the forum please ,We,re looking for some top class research and idea,s here
